About Ryan

Twenty years under the bar.
Thousands of hours in the trenches.

I've trained surgeons, soldiers, and people who thought their lifting days were over. Some needed intensity. Some needed restraint. They all got stronger.

Ryan Booth

I'm Ryan Booth. I've spent the last two decades studying how the human body actually gets stronger, not how the internet says it should. That study became the ILU Method.

I train post-injury clients, first-time lifters, and long-time athletes out of Kitsilano, Vancouver West Side, and Downtown. The common thread is simple. Everyone who walks through the door wants to be stronger a decade from now than they are today.

No templates. No hype. Just anatomy, structure, and a coach who's been under the bar as long as you've been thinking about it.

Coaching philosophy

  • Anatomy first. Programs second. Ego last.
  • Every rep watched. Every cue earned.
  • Joint health is not a warmup — it's the training.
  • The best program is the one you can still run in ten years.
